Personal Childhood Web

My Favorite Five

1. Patricia B.Minor(Mother)- She has influenced me as a child because she always told me that I was differnt from the other kids. She told me that I have a spiritual gift and I need to use it because I know things before it happened. Right now till this day my mother always is encouraging me to never give up and go as far as I can in my education. My mother took care of four children by herself without a man's help. She worked three and four jobs along with a sick brother to make sure that we had clothes on our back, shelter over our head, and food on the table. She made me feel special because she tried to treat all of us the same.

2. James B. Minor(Father)- He has influeced me as a child because he told me that I was not going to be running around here getting all them babies. He said, either I was going to work or go to school. He took care of me by providing my the money so that I would go shopping for school or my own personal needs and I would get my hair washd and perm every two weeks. He is retired and still works in and out jobs in order to provide for his family.

3. Rita Brooks(Aunt)- She has influenced me as a child because I can remember her as being the first lady police officer and her blue uniform. I remember when she was going to college to get her degree. She would tell us that aunt is almost finish. I would go to her house and see all her law books and her diploma. So when I was going to school, she will make sure that I had everything for school taken care of. For my graduation she was there with bells on because her son and I was graduating at the same time. She makes me feel special because even though now I am in college she stops by to see what I am doing with myself and to encourage me to keep on getting my education.

4. Roderick K. Bernard(Brother)-He influenced me as child because I seen him getting babies at a young age and I was an aunt at twelve years old. He kept getting children, so I decided that I was not going to be like him with all them kids. He cared about us by protecting us from the boys, he didn't allow us to have a boyfriend. He would babysit us when our mother was at work. He made me feel special because I was the only one that he taught  how to play basketball, but he would fight with all of us. He  was so overprotected of us just like now.

5. Jenita M. Harris(Sister)- She influenced me as a child because my sister made sure that we were feed, hair was comb, and well dressed. She use to always take us to the mall to the gameroom and anywhere else I wanted to go. She made me feel special because she use to always take up for me and didn't want me to get in trouble or a whipping. She basically did just about everything for me not saying that I ddn't know how, it was because I was the baby.
